Deuteronomy 5:15
"Remember that you were slaves in Egypt and that the Lord your God brought you out of there with a mighty hand and an outstretched arm. Therefore the Lord your God has commanded you to observe the Sabbath day."
During the Jackie Pullinger's Conference held in MAX PAVILLION on 12th May 2007, I got remembered by Poon Jie (Jackie Pullinger is known as in HK) of who am I? and where I came from?...
This spirit-led commander demonstrated the true attitude of heart. I remembered where I came from...a miraculous journey with God and bought with a Man's blood. This Man is Jesus Christ... the Son of God.
I was brought out from slavery and into His Promises...
I forgot I was once in slavery.
Liked a poor man... slogged a tough life... overcomes many hurdles...and became middle class...
In middle class... he went into wilderness... felt so lost so lost...so lonely...
Are we made for middle class???
If we forget where we came from, we will pity ourselves... we will feel disappointed with ourselves...(Times in middle class)
But we are not meant for middle class...
We are children of the Living God. The King of kings and the Lord of lords...
Now we are set free... we can share freely and generously...
We serve out of gratitude.
Money is the last thing we need to serve the poor.
We do not give to see people change but we give because Jesus gave His life...
So when we remember where we came from, we will know where we are going.
Otherwise, we will get stuck in the middle of the desert.
Leviticus 25:23
"The land must not be sold permanently, because the land is mine and you are but aliens and my tenants.
Throughout the country that you hold as a possession, you must provide for the redemption of the land."
I am so thankful for this timely encounter.
So bless until overflow and got to give them away...
I loved Jackie Pullinger!
She loved God so much so much so much!!!
She, an English woman served and lived with love for 40 years in HK... started her journey in Wall-Street where the dragons were... filled with many slumps and slaves...
Love truly give courage!
